Dorien Haesen - Clinical Research Professional

Dorien Haesen holds a master degree in Biomedical Sciences at the transnational University Limburg (Hasselt University, Belgium & Maastricht University, The Netherlands). In 2016, she obtained her PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences at the university of Leuven, Belgium. During her PhD training and as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Leuven, she helped unravelling the important role of an enzyme in different pathologies like endometrial cancer and intellectual disability. She gained expertise in project management, issue resolution and medical writing.

Since August 2017, she enthusiastically puts these skills to great use as a Clinical Research Professional at Archer Research. She loves managing multiple clinical trials at different stages from study start-up until manuscript writing and in different therapeutic areas, like vascular, neuro-vascular, abdominal and bariatric surgery. Her motivation and efficient approach have resulted in several successfully completed clinical trials and scientific publications. Together with Archer Research’ Quality Manager and colleague research professionals, she is also actively involved in optimizing the clinical QMS.

Her life philosophy: Do everything you do with passion.

Her guilty pleasure: Singing in the car as loud as I can.
